A Facebook campaign has been launched asking people to observe the silence in memory of the 25-year-old who went missing in Bristol exactly four weeks ago today.
The landscape architect was last seen leaving The Ram pub on Friday December 17, at around 8 o'clock after drinks with colleagues.
Police believe she made it back to her flat on Canynge Road in Clifton, because her personal belongings, including her coat, phone and boots, were found there.
She was reported missing by her boyfriend Greg Reardon on Sunday December 19, after he returned to their flat to find that she had gone.
After extensive searches and missing person appeals, her body was found a week later on Christmas Day by dog walkers on Longwood Lane in Failand.
A postmortem revealed that she'd been strangled.
As the murder investigation continues more than 500 people have now joined a group on Facebook set up for people to pay their respects to Jo and her family.
The organisers are asking people to observe a two minutes silence at 6pm on January 31st, six weeks after she went missing.
Police are urging anyone with information about Jo's death to come forward.
