The media sent Steve on his way, and a very sinister reason is coming to light...Steve would have burst their bubble on how they obtained their ' scoops becaus e they were ALL guilty of hacking in to voicemails. But Steve Nott never gave up and now his evidence has been handed over to the police  heading Operation Weeting.

Controversial Diana memorial fund to close after 14 years

It began with an outpouring of grief around the globe, as the elderly dipped into their pensions and children donated their pocket money to honour the memory of Princess Diana.
But the controversial Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund set up after her death in 1997 is to close after donating more than £100million to 350 good causes, the Daily Mail has learned.
Despite reports in 1998 that the influential fund would continue indefinitely, a spokesman last  night said it was ‘never intended to last for ever’.

EVERYONE laughed when I suggested it. We were staging a lighthearted show at the Camden Arts Centre, where I chaired the exhibition committee at the time, of doors – yes those things you open and close every day.

This was to be a display of all the art and design that had gone into their making, from the splendid use of medieval oak carvings and Victorian coloured glass to modernist creations and the latest bland electronic contraptions.

The obvious person to open it was, of course, Diana Dors – statuesque actress, blonde glamour girl, Britain’s answer to Marilyn Monroe or, as David Brett describes her in his new biography, a self-destructive hurricane in mink.
Diana came to the opening – for a fee – and proved to be something better to gape at than unsexy sliding doors. That was the only time I ever met the late Diana, originally Diana Fluck, from Swindon, who died, perhaps prophetically, in 1984....read more
