THE mother of Jo's boyfriend Greg Reardon yesterday collapsed in tears as she told how her disappearance had devastated their family too.
Lydia Reardon sobbed: "I'm sorry but this is such a difficult time for us."
She and husband John were due to travel to Shef-field last weekend to join Greg on a family visit to see his half-brother Francis but were snowed in.
Speaking outside their home in Ilfracombe, Devon, Lydia revealed Greg rang her when he arrived back in Bristol from Sheffield. She said: "He phoned me on Sunday and said 'I've just got home and Jo's not here'. At the time, I told him not to worry as she must have just nipped out. Then he said all her stuff was still there and later reported her missing.
"Jo is such a lovely girl - very intelligent and popular.Greg adores her. They got together within days of working together. You could say it was love at first sight.
"We just really want her to be safe."
