Why not postpone the Royal Wedding so that all attention can be focussed on Mr and Mrs McCann and their book about how they went out drinking and left their children alone?

Is there any trick this sad couple won't use to try to get free publicity? Now they are trying to cash in on the royal wedding by "delaying" the publication of a book nobody wants to buy anyway, and doing it with maxmum PR. If they had acted responsibly and kept a proper eye on their children (or even hired a baby sitter at a cost of a few pounds) they would never have lost their daughter in the first place! They should thank their lucky stars they were not jailed for failing to fulfil their legal duty of care - it is a CRIME to leave young children unattended.

While it is unfortunate that Madeleine has not been found it is also unfortunate that her parents were irresponsible. Any parent with a degree of common sense would not leave their child while they went out to dinner. They would stay with the child and ensure its safety. I do not see what purpose publishing a book called “Madeleine” serves.
How many times dooes it need saying, if the parents had been "working class" or God forbid on benefits they would have been prosecuted for child neglect, and had their remaining kids taken into care. I personally have no time for these pathetic people. I hope they do not sell a single copy.

The only one I feel sorry for is Madeleine, she seems to be the only one who's been forgotten about with all of their headline grabbing antics. I find this couple distasteful on all levels.
I don't quite see what the book will tell that the media hasn't already, and which the McCann's have already told through the media. It is a heartbreaking story, but sometimes it is only when you let go of something in life, that the truth unfolds.
Perhaps in an act of 'good faith' they should donate a potion of their proceeds [if there are any] in order to fund seaches for children who are missing - especially for the children whose parents are not so wealthy so that the cases of missing children can be moved forward... Just a thought.

Enough please...... I remain deeply saddened by the fate of this little girl and feel some sympathy for the parents with regard to their never-ending loss and I sincerely hope that the truth of what happened to her will emerge. However this forthcoming book, perhaps penned to expurgate their own guilt for leaving her alone, may not have their desired effect. Ultimately they chose to leave her as they did and it is for them to live with this; it remains a harsh lesson for them and the rest of us parents faced with similar circumstances.

Please Kate and Gerry do not delay the release of this book, cancel it . As you can see from the comments here the public's support is ebbing away due to your constant begging for money. I moderate forums that were at one time very supportive of your campaign yet even there posts are having to be removed due to their unhelpful nature.
I will most definitely be buying this book. Hopefully it will help to find Madeleine.I cannot believe the nasty comments made here about this couple. No matter the circumstances they have lost their child. How can anyone cope with that? The people leaving these nasty comments should think how they would feel if they lost their own child.
How very gracious of them. It will be interesting to see if an injunction is sought to ban the sale of this book in the way that the McCann industry banned the sale of the book in the UK by the Portugeese investigating detective Goncalo Amaral.
I wonder how many people who left their child for nights on end have managed to write a book saying how it isn't their fault.
Well I will not be buying this book, even when it reaches the Pound shops. The McCanns have consistently refused to take any blame for their daughter's disappearance. The fact is, if you leave anything precious in an unlocked appartment, you stand the chance that things will get stolen. I bet that they did not leave any money lying around just in case the unthinkable happened.
Whilst there is no denying they were stupid and downright careless leaving 3 young kids in a holiday apartment I for one do not beleive they should ever have been under suspicion for the murder of that little girl or having anything directly to do with her disappearance. Some may mock about them writing a book but put yourselves in their shoes.If it were me I would want to put my side of the story out there,without my words being twisted by newspapers etc. May they never stop looking for their daughter.They have been punished enough in my opinion,everybody needs to have a bit of empathy towards them.
I can't imagine what the McCanns are going through and feel terribly sorry for them, but I feel linking their loss to the impending Royal wedding is just another attempt to remind us all what they're going through. This may not be popular, but let's remember that if they hadn't left the kids in the hotel room on their own that night, I wouldn't be writing this now. If the McCanns had been a couple on low income who had scraped together the pennies for a holiday, this story would have fallen below the radar long ago and the family vilified. Having said that, I really hope Maddie turns up safe and well and has been looked after by a childless couple who mean no harm to her.

What's this book an instruction booklet on how to enjoy yourself with friends eating and drinking whilst leaving your child in a flat you can't see or have any control over These people make me sick They should have been prosecuted at the very least for child neglect. The only reason they weren't in my opinion is because of their professions and social standing which makes a mockery of things in my mind
I am sorry they lost a child, but why are they getting all this media attention? There are other families that have things like this happen to them but they are not in the papres every month, crying how they have been wronged. When lets face it they left the children on there own.
I am so sad that their nightmare continues. May Madeleine soon be found to end their agony.

It seems to me rather presumptious for the McCann's to be commemorating Madeleine's disappearance in four months' time with a book launch. How do they know that she won't be found in the intervening time?
Can these two dysfunctional people go away please. 99% of the population are fed up of reading and hearing about them, can they not just leave us all alone and go away. You were the people responsible for not looking after Maddie properly, what ever the book makes should be given to the police for wasting their time. Get a life you two, for doctors you are both pretty dim people.
