MURDER suspect Vincent Tabak called a family meeting days after Jo's body was found to tell relatives his apartment had been searched by cops.
Dutchman Tabak, 32, broke the news he had fallen under suspicion after he went home to Holland for the Christmas holidays. He called a summit while staying with relatives and girlfriend Tanja Morson.Tabak's brother Marcel said: "We were all together in a rented cottage. It had snowed and Vincent summoned the adults without the children. He said what he knew about what had happened to his neighbour - the fact that following her murder everything was being examined, even his apartment."
Marcel told Dutch TV he believed his brother would hardly ever have been home at the same time as Jo.
He said: "I visited Vincent in the autumn and the apartment next door was empty. I think the neighbour can only have lived there for about two months and my brother worked for his employer's sister company in the States for six weeks.
"I think there would have been hardly any opportunity for them to have contact."
Police revealed when Jo went missing that she and boyfriend Greg Reardon had moved into their flat in October.
