Jo Yeates: Her murder slowly slipping from the news....

THE hunt for the killer of Joanna Yeates took a dramatic twist last night after cops seized plans to the house where the landscape architect lived.

They are now inspecting the drawings of the vast Victorian mansion to see if the murderer might have secretly stashed her body somewhere before dumping it.

Jo, 25, disappeared after drinking with friends in Bristol on December 17. Her body was discovered eight days later on Christmas Day.

Tragic ... Jo with boyfriend Greg

Last night a Bristol City Council planning spokeswoman confirmed: "The documents have been seized and are part of the investigation."

Jo lived in a basement flat in posh Clifton with boyfriend Greg Reardon, 27, who was away at the time of the murder.

The property was split into flats in 1988 and has a staircase linking most of the apartments.

But Jo's flat is thought to have been totally self-contained with only one way in and out.

Two large garden sheds sit behind the property - one could have been used to hide Jo's body.

Yesterday forensics teams returned to the house.

They tested security lights above Jo's front door and looked at the rear of the mansion. A source said: "Detectives want to piece together as much detail as possible about whether Jo was killed in her flat and, if so, how her body was moved."

It also emerged locals demanded better lighting in the area. CCTV relies on it to make images clear.

FRIENDS of Jo want a national two-minute silence in her memory on January 31 at 6pm.
